Print out both pages from the template onto heavy paper, such as card stock or construction paper.
It's easier to color in and/or decorate your pop-up pieces before you cut them out!
You will need scissors, white glue (such as elmer's), a ruler, a paperclip or ballpoint pen that has run out of ink, and your two print-outs.
Using a ruler as a guide, take the rounded end of a paper clip (or ballpoint pen that has run out of ink) and press along the dotted line of the pop-up pieces and card.
Carefully cut out all the pieces along the solid black lines.
Don't forget to cut out the notch at the bottom of the ghost piece, between tabs A and B.
There are three pieces for this pop-up - the card, the ghost, and the tombstone.
Fold the card in half along the dotted line. Set it aside for now.
Take the ghost piece and fold it along the long dotted line.
Fold tabs A and B BACK along the upper angled dotted lines.
Fold the grey-colored portions of tabs A and B FORWARD along the lower dotted lines. This makes a zig-zag fold in the ghost piece.
Set the ghost piece aside and pick up the tombstone piece. Fold the grass-shaped tab FORWARD on the dotted line.
Fold tab C BACK along the dotted line.
Fold the grey-colored portion of tab C BACK again on the dotted line.
Take the card and put a small amount of glue on the grey areas marked "Glue Here A" and "Glue Here B".
Press tabs A and B of the ghost firmly onto their matching glue areas. Make sure the fold in the middle of the ghost lines up with the fold in the middle of the card. Press firmly and allow the glue time to dry.
Close the card - making sure that the ghost folds forward and down on the zig-zagged tabs.
Put a small amount of glue on the area of the card marked "Glue Here C".
Glue tab C of the tombstone piece FACE DOWN to the matching glue area on the card (match the grey area of the tab to the grey area on the page). Press firmly and allow the glue time to dry.
The folds of the tombstone should be parallel to the middle fold of the card.
Put a small amount of glue on the area marked Glue Here D.
Press the grass-shaped Tab D down to the matching glue area on the card. Press firmly and allow time for the glue to dry.
Close the card, making sure the ghost sinks downward as you do so.
Your card is complete! Happy Halloween!
